Fantastica la storia:
Anche tu hai fatto l'ingranaggio a passo variabile? Interessante anche a questo propositoBecause the earth's orbit around the sun is slightly eliptical, the velocity of the earth amund the sun varies in a yearly cycle. This variation contributes to the correction between mean and local sun time which is commonly called "The Equation of Time." In order to approximate this effect, the sun ring gear is cut with 230 teeth in the half circle closest to the sun and 237 teeth in the 180 degree sector away from the sun. in questo caso ci sarebbe voluta una ruota epicicloidale all' Antikitera.A test of the equation of time function by operating the geartrain through a complete yearly cycle unclutched from the time train confirms that the implementation provides an approximation including only the effect that varies at a yearly fundamental frequency due to the earth's elliptical orbit and does not include the double frequency component caused by tilt of the earth's axis apparent in the true equation of time.
